Description | The BCIT Financial Analyst program is designed to teach students the fundamentals required to prepare to write the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) examination. Concentrating on the relevant CFA Program subject areas, students are prepared to move into the examination specific material provided by CFA. Students are advised to gain relevant work experience before attempting the CFA exam.
This program consists of courses in financial statement analysis and economics before concentrating on specific financial analyst topics. The remaining courses consist of seven intermediate and advanced courses specifically designed around the professional designation requirements, including ethics, advanced financial statement analysis, fixed income and equity analysis, derivatives, and portfolio management. | | |
