Description | Thompson Rivers University, Open Learning (TRU-OL), and The Royal Conservatory's Glenn Gould School have developed an Articulation Agreement that enables graduates of the PDP to transfer a block of credits toward the TRU-OL Bachelor of Music (Performance) degree.
The TRU-OL degree requires 120 credits to graduate. Under the Articulation Agreement, graduates of the PDP may transfer 70 credits (35 lower level and 35 upper level) to meet the studio requirements of the TRU-OL degree. PDP graduates may also transfer up to 29 credits of history and theory of music on a course-by-course basis. The additional 21 credits required for the completion of the TRU-OL Bachelor of Music (Performance) degree are general education requirements (English: 6 credits; Humanities: 6 credits; Natural Science or Math: 3 credits; and Social Science: 6 credits). These credits can be taken through TRU-OL (including through its Open Learning Division) or through course articulations approved by TRU-OL (subject to students meeting the TRU-OL minimum residency requirement, which is currently 6 credits). This degree opportunity is available only to students who have graduated with a diploma from the Glenn Gould School-PDP, which was implemented beginning in 1997. All programs and courses are subject to change or cancellation based on insufficient enrollment.
