Description | Northern’s Practical Nursing program holds as its philosophy a set of beliefs and values based on five key concepts: the client, health, caring, nursing, and the role that teaching and learning play in enabling individuals and their families and groups to achieve health outcomes. These concepts are derived from the scope of practice described in the Nursing Act 1991 and are interrelated, interdependent and integrated throughout the curriculum. Graduates may find employment opportunities in acute/long term care centers (hospitals), community agencies, industry, prisons, mental health services, and doctors’ offices. | | |
