DescriptionThis program is designed to provide the graduate with appropriate training required for entry into positions in the mining and milling operations. The training received will help students to develop an appreciation of the mining industry and the importance of mining to Canadians and Nunavut. Students will be shown the concepts behind how companies locate [exploration], evaluate different methods [feasibility] and to see why certain practices are followed and/or avoided through the milling and disposal of waste materials [tailings] and finally reclamation once the project is finished.
