Description | Linguistics involves investigating language systematically, exploring how it is used in day to day life, and discovering how it is realized in the human mind. You will learn how to construct logical arguments through analytical reasoning, probe language behaviour with experiments, and apply linguistic insights in human health, language technology, and language teaching. The Linguistics program in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences offers a minor and certificates in First Nations language proficiency and in teaching ESL linguistics as well as a major. | | |
