Description | In your first year you will study basic sociology concepts and theories in our introductory course, a requirement for going into further sociology studies. An honours thesis is required in the Final Year. A sociology degree gives you the skills to analyze relationships, like those between people and governments, corporations and communities. Upper level studies in sociology can involve topics like criminology, cultural studies, third world development, communications and gender relations.
Students must take a minimum of three sociology courses before the end of second year to apply to complete an honours, major or double major in sociology.
