Description

Biology is the science of life, and as a department we want to foster a fascination with the biological sciences, develop scientific literacy, and build a solid foundation for careers in biology and related professions. Contemporary biology asks many questions due to the vast scope of disciplines related to biological sciences, ranging from the smallest molecules and cellular components, to individual organisms such as microbes, plants and animals, to the larger environment, ecosystems and the biosphere.

The Biology program is available as a four-year Bachelor of Science degree with majors and honours programs, or as a minor within range of interdepartmental programs.
