Description | Chemistry is often described as a central science due to its focuses on the structure, properties, and synthesis of matter – which includes virtually everything from the plastics we use to the air we breathe, and from the water we drink to the medicine we take. By choosing to study chemistry at Acadia, you will become an important part of leading-edge research in small, hands-on classroom and laboratory environments. You may pursue an Honours BSc in chemistry, a BSc with major in chemistry, and a BSc with double major, as well as participate in Acadia’s award-winning co-op program. Both the Honours BSc and BSc with major in chemistry are accredited by the Canadian Institute of Chemistry, which allows you to meet professional licensing standards after graduation. | | |
