Description | This is a four-year basic nursing education program leading to a baccalaureate degree in nursing. This innovative baccalaureate curriculum was developed through the collaborative efforts of all schools of nursing in the province and implemented in the 1996-97 academic year. The Bachelor of Nursing (Collaborative) Program is delivered through a consortium partnership between Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN), Western Health, and Eastern Health . It is designed to enhance the opportunities for individuals to be prepared at the baccalaureate level for entry into professional nursing practice. The same BN (Collaborative) Program is delivered at the Centre for Nursing Studies, MUN School of Nursing and Western Regional School of Nursing. A BN degree is the minimum level of education for nurses entering the profession. Students may be admitted to the program following high school graduation or, alternatively, students who already have a degree may be eligible for the Fast Track Option, available at MUN School of Nursing and Western Regional School of Nursing. | | |
