Description | An ironworker welds, burns, rivets, drills, fits and fabricates structural shapes and plates in the erection of structural steel for buildings and bridges. Duties include rigging, placing machinery and the detailing, placing and tying of reinforcing steel. The apprenticeship process requires time on the job supplemented by in-school training. | | |
