Description | This program gives you a distinct advantage over the training offered in other pipe trades. In just two years, you will be able to work in three different fields: gas, steamfitting/pipefitting, and plumbing.
This program is a first step towards Journeyperson Certification in the plumber, steamfitter-pipefitter, sprinkler system installer, and gas fitter trades. To work in this trade, certification is compulsory through Nova Scotia’s Department of Labour and Workforce Development. Graduates from this program may find employment in many pipe trade industries, such as the construction industry, manufacturing industry, service industry, maintenance and repair, construction estimating, solar and geothermal energy, and industrial/commercial/residential supply sales and service. | | |
