Description | Art Therapy utilizes the healing and self-reflective aspects of the creative process to address issues across the life span, and across the whole spectrum of human conditions. The Institute believes that visual and plastic arts have the advantage to by-pass the often highly defended secondary process of language and permit direct expression of dreams, fantasies, fears and other inner experiences.
The Kutenai Art Therapy Institute offers a two year diploma program that includes over 780 hours of clinical placement & supervision with a registered art therapist as well as academic course work and personal art therapy experiencials. The onsite program runs for nine months of the year, from September to mid May and entry into the program is once a year only, in September. | | |
