| Prerequisites Notes | Applicants must have a Diploma of Secondary Studies (DES) or equivalent, including Secondary V Language of Instruction, Secondary V Second Language, Secondary IV Science, Secondary IV Mathematics (Cultural, Social & Technical option 563-404/414), and Secondary IV History. Students with a DES missing any of the above subjects may be admitted, space permitting, but may be required to complete remedial courses. | | |

All returning students are required to pay their regular student fees ($164) in full by June 7, 2017 before registering for their courses. New students are required to pay the $164 in full by June 30, 2017 before they register. Payments may be made in full before registration by cash, debit card, Visa, MasterCard, money order or cheque. Post dated cheques will not be accepted. Any remaining fees (non-resident of Quebec, convocation fees, part time in-program fees, etc…) will be assessed by August 22 and due by September 8, 2017. Late payment fees of $25.00 will be applied to overdue accounts.

| Description | In the 21st-century, the world has never been smaller: global markets, travel, and information flows penetrate our daily lives. No matter what field of study you enter into, chances are your 21st-century career will require an appreciation for and knowledge about living in an increasingly globalized world. Are you interested in understanding the human dimensions of travel, including social issues such as immigration, human trafficking and global inequality, more deeply? Or are you interested in studying the global tourism industry, including prospects for ecotourism or social problems such as sex tourism? Then the travel and tourism profile is the profile for you. This profile aims to give students a better understanding of the economic, social and cultural impacts of travel and tourism in a 21st-century, globalized world.
The Travel and Tourism profile prepares students for university studies in transportation, hospitality and tourism, as well as geography, marketing and business (note that Mathematics pre-requisites are necessary for university level business studies).
