Description | What do we have? What do we need? There never seems to be enough resource to cover the need, so we end up making choices. Individuals, business, governments, markets—we all face economic choice.
Studying economics gives you analytical insight into these choices and their consequences. Economists commonly study things like trade, tax policy, and wage practices. At Western, we also bring economics to bear on domestic violence, disability insurance, racial profiling, and nonprofit fundraising.
You can complete this program as part of a Bachelor or Honours Bachelor degree. Registration in the honours degree usually begins in the second year, but admission may be gained in the third or fourth year if you meet requirements. | | |
