Description | This is a two-year pre-university program that prepares students for further music studies at the university level. Students develop their performance skills through private study and in ensembles like the Vanier College Choirs, Concert Band, Big Band, Guitar, Wind, Brass, String, Percussion, and other Jazz, Pop and Classical Ensembles. These are featured in a series of weekly noon hour concerts as well as in occasional gala performances.
Our program also offers a wide range of technology courses including recording techniques, MIDI applications (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) and computer-integrated ear training and theory programs. Our facilities offer students a modern ten-station computer lab and two digital recording studios. Students may also choose from an array of course electives including composition, a second instrument, jazz performance, and demo production. | | |
