Description | Today, we live and breathe media, minute-by-minute, hour-by-hour. News, television, social media, celebrity culture, music, and more. Our philosophy is: if you’re going to consume it, you need to understand it. In Media, Information and Technoculture (MIT), your studies will focus on modern communication and information technologies, and how they influence your life in ways that you may not even recognize.
MIT is a competitive and challenging program that requires students who are thoughtful and engaged, creative and critical, and willing to push the boundaries of media research. As a student in the program, you will benefit from a broad and balanced approach that combines media theory, history, and research and analysis.
You can complete this program as a Bachelor or an Honours Bachelor degree. Registration in the honours degree usually begins in the second year, but admission may be gained in the third or fourth year provided you meet requirements. | | |
