Prerequisites Notes | Admission to a doctoral program and the granting of a PhD necessitate the following elements: a satisfactory record of graduate studies with a minimum average of 75% (B+) or the equivalent; a master's degree with thesis or the equivalent. A student who has not completed a thesis must provide for evaluation by the admissions committee evidence of ability to do research at the doctoral level by providing a sample of written work such as a memoir, research report, scholarly publication, qualifying research paper; courses recognized by the admissions committee as courses in education; the ability to understand and speak fluently the language of instruction.
