DescriptionIndustrial electricians install, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical equipment and associated electrical and electronic controls. They are employed by electrical contractors and maintenance departments of factories, plants, mines, shipyards and other industrial establishments.

The work of industrial electrician is similar to what general electricians do with the only difference that industrial electricians usually stay in a work place over a long period of time so they become deeply familiar and expert in company's electrical equipment and systems. This will result in more efficient and quicker decisions about fixing, maintaining, commissioning and replacing electrical parts and systems.
