Description | Breweries, refineries, thermal generating stations plus pulp and paper plants--these are just some of the major industries that rely on a power engineer to safely maintain their power plants. Your training in this field will prepare you for the technical demands and responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of a wide variety of systems: high pressure steam, refrigeration, natural gas, and air compressor plants to name just a few.
This program is a first step on the path towards Journeyperson Certification in the power engineering trade. Certification is compulsory through the Department of Labour and Workforce Development. Graduates of this program will be evaluated for credit upon registration in the Provincial Apprenticeship Program. | | |
