Description | The scope of psychology as a field of study includes every activity that living organisms are capable of performing. Psychology emphasizes the study of observable behaviours; however, it is not limited to this. The broad scope of psychology makes it both very interesting and very demanding. Certain aspects of psychology strongly emphasize a natural science approach using experimentation and statistics, and others emphasize a humanistic, intuitive approach. Both approaches are part of the domain of psychology.
The Psychology Department is part of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. The Department offers first- and second-year university transfer courses.
