Description | Tourism is the world’s largest and fastest growing industry and, in Canada, tourism growth has consistently outpaced most industrial sectors over the past decade. Champlain College Saint-Lambert is the only English CEGEP to offer the three year, tuition-free Tourism program. In the Tourism Management option, you will discover the many facets of the industry; learn how to use the most recent industry technology; and participate in trade shows as well as plan and go on local, regional, national, and international trips (past destinations have included Switzerland, Amsterdam, London, Eastern Europe, and the Caribbean). You will also participate in a two-month, full-time work-study session (stage) which often leads to full-time employment when you graduate. As a graduate of the Tourism Management, in addition to being qualified to work in travel and tourism, you will have among your assets: communication skills (including public speaking); principles of management, marketing, promotion, finance, and sales; research methodology; the ability to communicate in English, French, and Spanish; and practical experience (stage in industry). | | |
