Description | For non-native speakers of English.
Pronunciation can interfere with clear, comprehensible speech at work and elsewhere. This course can help. An initial assessment by experienced pronunciation instructors helps identify participants' individual strengths and weaknesses. This individualized approach continues throughout the course, allowing participants to focus attention on areas they choose. Practice activities include the most widely used business language. Through weekly instruction, practice, and evaluation, participants will become more aware of and improve production of individual sounds, intonation, stress patterns, pace, and pausing, making speech clearer, more comprehensible, and more fluent. Practice and assessment techniques feature individual recordings, partner work, group activities, and one-on-one feedback from the instructor. Expect up to two hours of homework each week. | | |
