Description | Engage in the study of society and cultural life to better understand social structures, human interaction and social change. Sociology investigates the social causes and consequences of social phenomena including deviance and crime, schools and education, health and illness, environmental disasters, economic development, social movements and inequalities in gender, race and class.
Discover how individuals’ thoughts, perceptions, beliefs, attitudes, actions, opportunities and interactions are shaped by social categories and social institutions. You will also learn how to apply sociological research methods and theories with a focus on social justice, diversity and inequality. | | |
