Description | This six-course semester builds on the three-year co-op diploma in automotive marketing by enhancing the student’s post-secondary education to meet a degree-level standard required to pursue further studies towards completion of the Bachelor of Applied Business – Automotive Management degree. The student’s success in meeting the requirements of this six-course qualifying semester determines his or her eligibility to continue in a program towards completion of degree studies. Throughout the qualifying semester and subsequent two semesters, students develop their critical thinking and managerial skills through courses that promote leadership and a higher level of understanding in the theoretical foundations of a degree-level education in business as it is applied to the automotive industry.
Students are trained to possess the skills to assume roles within the automotive industry at a higher level of responsibility than currently directed at the diploma level and to increase their grasp of the theoretical bases of key subjects essential to achieving a business degree. With completion of the qualifying semester, students will take further courses designed to augment their business education to bridge the gap between knowledge obtained through the diploma program and that required of a degree-level program in business with a focus on automotive management. | | |
