Description | Biomedical Engineering is concerned with a wide range of engineering problems encountered in medical and surgical treatment, in the interactions of people and machines in a variety of environments, in human disabilities, assistive devices and systems in medical instrumentation, and in the understanding of biomechanics and neurophysiology. Because of the complexity of BME this option is offered in honours version only.
The Biomedical Engineering Option is interdisciplinary in nature and provides a basic undergraduate Engineering background combined with biomedical-related coursework in areas such as Biomedical Engineering, Kinesiology, Chemistry and Biology. | | |
