DescriptionPeople from around the world depend on each other to live, play, work and communicate. Anthropology helps us understand how diverse collectivities make sense of the world by studying them in their cultural, geographical and historical context. Learn how people confront global issues such as migration, climate change and the rise of new media technologies through their own complex understandings of kinship, age, race, gender, class, faith, nature and nation. Being in Ottawa gives you access to governmental organizations, NGOs, international agencies, and a host of artistic, cultural and scientific institutions. Our practicum course, Co-op program and independent research projects give you practical experience to develop and apply your academic skills.

Your career: advocacy; community organizing and services; consultancies; education; international development; museums and heritage; new media; public health; public policy; user experience research
