Description | As we look at the world around us, it's alarmingly evident that humanity faces significant environmental challenges that are complex, multi-faceted, and of ever-increasing importance. Redeemer's Environmental Studies program studies nature and how humans interact with God's creation. A strong focus on philosophy, politics and geography equips students to be stewards of the earth and its natural resources, focused on contemporary environmental issues and sustainability.
Right from the start, small class sizes allow for meaningful class discussion, lead by professors who are actively researching in the field and excited to include students in their work. First-year courses provide an interdisciplinary understanding of populations, cities, and resources through courses that dig into economics, geography, and science surrounding environmental issues. These foundational courses prepare you to dig into topics that are specific to your areas of interest later on in your studies.
Environmental Studies is a Bachelor of Arts degree program. It is offered as a major and as a minor.
