DescriptionPhysical therapists use exercise, physical modalities, manual therapy approaches, assistive devices and lifestyle management to help individuals obtain maximal functional potential. The physical therapist is a health professional who contributes to the multidisciplinary team through patient evaluation, treatment planning and delivery, education, research and consultation in clinics, industry and the community.

This degree provides access to the Master of Science, Applied, Physical Therapy degree. This program provides the student with a basic health sciences foundation and undergraduate level courses specific to the practice of Physical Therapy. The Physical Therapy curriculum emphasizes clinical reasoning, diagnostics, evidence-based practice, community rehabilitation, teamwork and professionalism as essential components for the development of a humanistic, ethical, knowledgeable, competent critical thinking and problem-solving physical therapist.
