Description | This program is for undergraduate degree holders in any discipline who want a career as a professional communicator. Students will gain experience writing in a variety of genres, editing both print and online documents, designing and producing documents using industry-standard software, and working on projects in teams and individually. They will also participate in a professional experience (a job or project) that requires a significant amount of writing. Graduates will be equipped with the knowledge, skills, and behaviours to work as professional communicators in sectors including business, government, non-for-profit, and publishing. They may work in-house in positions such as communication coordinators, corporate communicators, information officers, public relations practitioners, writers, editors, designers, or journalists, or they may establish their own freelance practice as a writer, editor, or designer.
