| Description | Medical Office Assistants perform many duties, such as scheduling/confirming appointments, preparing documents and forms, maintaining confidential files and records, performing or setting up for minor procedures such as taking blood pressure or measuring height/weight.This program provides an overview of medical office principles, practices, and operations with a focus on developing medical office assistant skills. Areas of study include: medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, medical and laboratory procedures, clinical office procedures, word processing, and medical office scheduling and billing software.
