Description | Imagine jumping right into a leadership role in one of the most growing industries in Canada upon earning your degree. That's the opportunity you get when you study Aquaculture at Dalhousie’s Agricultural campus in Truro, N.S. This industry includes both food production and environmental and resource conservation. Completing studies in Aquaculture at the Dalhousie Faculty of Agriculture blends classroom, laboratory, project and fieldwork. Students will develop strengths and gain knowledge in three main areas: aquaculture, aquatic science and hands-on experience.
First-year students will begin with courses that form the foundation of the BSc (Agriculture), while taking specialized aquaculture-focused courses in upper years. Fourth year honours students have the opportunity to design and implement their own research project. Through these opportunities, students can set themselves up for a successful career in the growing field of Aquaculture or for future studies. | | |
