To be admitted into the Master of Arts in Child and Youth Study program, students will:
1. have completed a four-year baccalaureate degree with a minimum of a B average (GPA of 3.0).
2. provide evidence of successful work experience with children/youth.
A bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a social science area (e.g., early childhood; child and youth study; psychology; education; social work; family studies; sociology) is preferred. Undergraduate courses in research methods and statistics are required of all applicants. Some students may be required to complete additional undergraduate or graduate coursework and obtain a minimum of B in these courses prior to acceptance into the program.
