DescriptionAccounting technicians and bookkeepers maintain complete sets of books, keep records of accounts, verify the procedures used for recording financial transactions, and provide personal bookkeeping services. They are employed throughout the private and public sectors, or they may be self-employed. Oxford College’s accounting and payroll administration program is offered in partnership with the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA). The CPA offers the only payroll certifications in Canada.

The CPA’s Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification is the foundation for a career in payroll. Students will gain an in-depth understanding of the legislative requirements to manage an organization’s compliance requirements. When you get certified, you join a growing community of supportive professionals and gain access to the resources you need to stay current and compliant.
