Career Description

Technical and specifications writers analyze material such as specifications, notes, and drawings and write manuals, user guides, and other documents to explain the installation, operation, and maintenance of software and electronic, mechanical, and other equipment.

Duties May Include

Working with product development teams to create manuals and other types of documentation.

Preforming tests on products to determine how they function and how best to describe that function in documentation.
