- A graduate degree in the field intended for specialization or related field (e.g., accounting, finance, economics, management, or industrial / organizational psychology), or an MBA.
- For the Accounting and/or Finance stream, a corresponding professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA, CFA) and 3 or more years of professional experience are preferred.
- Demonstrated interests and capacity in scholarly and/or applied research within the chosen specialization.
- GMAT score 620 (minimal acceptable 600) or an equivalent GRE score.

To be considered for admission into the Sobey PhD program, applicants must meet a number of requirements and complete a rigorous application process. Acceptance into the Sobey PhD Program is highly competitive. Each year we only accept between four and six of the applications received, with an acceptance rate of roughly one in five.
