For international students, the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or its equivalent is the basic requirement for admission to the college. Specific programs may have other entrance requirements. International applicants applying to post-secondary studies are also required to demonstrate proficiency in the English language. Language requirements will depend on the program chosen. Students are also required to obtain a study permit in order to complete studies that will last longer than six months at a Canadian post-secondary institution. Those applying to the English as a Second Language program will be tested upon arrival to determine their language level. Applicants should consult individual program descriptions in the calendar for the specific requirements for each program.
In order to receive a study permit, students will require a final letter of acceptance from the College, which will be issued once students have met language and academic requirements, and have paid all relevant tuition fees. Students should then take their letter of acceptance to the nearest Canadian Embassy to apply for their study permit. International applicants are strongly urged to apply well before the application deadline in order to complete requirements for obtaining student authorization. Applications received after the deadline will be treated on a first come, first served basis.
