To be a student at the UBC ELI you must have completed high school and have at least a basic understanding of English. Our programs are not suitable for students who are complete beginners in English. The UBC ELI reserves the right to deny entrance to students not fulfilling these requirements.

Students can apply online or print off the application form and fax or mail it in. A non-refundable $150 application fee is required for each application. A non-refundable $300 deposit is required for each program for which you register; the deposit is applied to the tuition. If full tuition is paid at the time of registration, $300 of that amount is considered the program deposit and is non-refundable. The $300 deposit guarantees you a place in the program until one month before the program's start date; only tuition paid in full guarantees you a place after this date. We will continue to accept payments and applications until each program is full. Please note: the program deposit for IEP will be $600 starting in 2010.
