Requirements for International Students

Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools provide for school entry at any time in the school year. However, formal credit programs begin at the end of August (first semester) and the beginning of February (second semester). Applicants are accepted into Grades 7 to 12. Minimum age for admission is 13 years. Students are encouraged to begin the application procedure several months before school begins.

Procedure for International Students

If your application is accepted, the Principal will send a letter of acceptance and confirmation of deposit to the applicant. The official letter of acceptance may be used to apply for a Canadian study permit at the nearest Canada Immigration Office, Canadian Consulate, or Canadian Embassy in your home country. Students must have the following upon arrival in Canada: a valid passport; a letter of introduction from a visa office; the original letter of acceptance from the school; and a bank draft as proof of sufficient funds to attend school in Canada. The application must be followed by original academic transcripts of your last two years of school. Marks must be in percentages and the normal passing grade indicated. If final marks are not in percentages, an explanation of the grading system must accompany the documents. If the current school year has not been completed, an official letter (in English) from the Principal should confirm the student's grade placement and marks.
