Major Entrance Scholarship:
UBC is looking for the most accomplished and promising Canadian citizens and permanent residents to join our community. The Presidential Scholars Award program offers the most prestigious awards available to students who are entering UBC. These include a one-time award of approximately $5,000, and renewable awards of up to $40,000 on the Okanagan campus, and $80,000 on the Vancouver campus, each payable over four years.
Schulich Leader Scholarship:
The Schulich Leader Scholarships program recognizes students across Canada who demonstrate excellence in academics, leadership, charisma, and creativity, and plan to study in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) area on either of UBC’s campuses during their undergraduate degree. Schulich Leader Scholarships were created by Canadian business leader and philanthropist Seymour Schulich and are managed by the UJA Federation of Greater Toronto. Mr. Schulich is a noted entrepreneur and philanthropist who believes strongly in supporting young people in their pursuit of science and technology.
UBC Centennial Scholars Entrance Award:
The UBC Centennial Scholars Entrance Award program assists students who are transitioning to UBC from secondary school or another post-secondary institution. The purpose of the program is to financially support academically qualified students who show an interest in joining and contributing to the UBC community, but who would not be able to attend without significant financial assistance. Through the program, new students can access a variety of one-time and renewable awards of up to $80,000..
International Major Entrance Scholarship:
UBC’s International Major Entrance Scholarship program offers awards to exceptional international students entering undergraduate programs. Awards are payable up to $10,000 per year for four years.
Outstanding International Student Award:
The Outstanding International Student (OIS) Award is a one-time, merit-based entrance scholarship awarded to qualified students when they are offered admission to UBC. Students selected for this award show strength academically and display involvement outside of the classroom.
