Founded in 2006, CLC is a young, vibrant, and growing language centre located in Uptown Toronto. With a focus on quality and student satisfaction, CLC remained a small but very well regarded language centre. Under new management since 2011, we have expanded, adding extra classes, additional programs, and new partnerships. In fact, our student body has almost trebled in the past two years, a result of our proven programs and respected teaching methodologies. Everything at CLC is geared to making your experience not only educational but also enjoyable. Though we enjoy our social activities and life in Toronto, education is our number one priority.
Students have access to an interactive computer lab with free high speed Internet access and a variety of self-study materials. We provide students with free access to our movie and book libraries, and we showcase the most popular movies in weekly ‘Movie Afternoons’. At CLC students can relax in our student lounge, with a complete kitchen and snack bar. A wide variety of restaurants, cafés, and shops, with easy access to rapid transit are just outside our doors. Our courses follow the international standard levels established by the Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) and the European Council. The Common European Framework (CEF) is the document used to describe the performance of learners of foreign languages in Europe. Thus, their six reference levels have become widely accepted as a way of benchmarking language ability all over the world. Our General ESL classes:
- Provide Six levels of General ESL, from Starter to Advanced.
- Cover the 4 basic skills (Speaking, Listening, Writing, Reading), while maintaining a high degree of communicative and task-based learning.
- Highly qualified and experienced teachers ensure that classes are informative, educational, and interesting.
- Carefully chosen textbooks provide strong foundation for teachers and students, with teachers supplementing with extra material.
Our students undergo weekly assessments along with monthly tests and progress reports, ensuring that their progress is closely monitored and any holes in their learning are addressed. In addition, CLC's unique Individual Learning Plan guarantees that every student's educational priorities are met

Homestay with Canadian family: Private room and three meals daily. Internet, laundry facilities, and other amenities vary from home to home.
Residence: Rooms in safe and clean college dormitories. These options include a private bedroom, as well as access to a shared washroom and kitchen. Space can be limited, however, so please book in advance.
