For more than 20 years, Kells Academy has helped students prepare for studies in the best universities in North America. While many of our students are Canadian, Kells welcomes students from Europe, Asia, South America, and the United States. In small classes, Kells provides a program of studies that meets with the needs of international students. Students are given the opportunity to take TOEFL, to prepare for the SAT, and are given assistance through the guidance department with entrance to colleges and universities. Students are prepared for studies in Health Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science, Commerce, and Humanities. As well as offering a wide variety of academic options, Kells provides assistance with obtaining visas, homestay accommodation, and transportation from the airport.
Teachers at Kells are dedicated and experienced with international students, and have a reputation for making students feel welcome. Contacts and friendships are made, which last well after students leave Kells.
Kells high success rate is attributed to small class size, individualized attention, and a supportive learning environment.
Kells Academy offers homestay to international students. The cost for homestay is $260.00 per week. This includes three meals per day and laundry service. Students have the choice of living with English or French speaking families located close to the school.
The gymnasium is located close to the sports fields in the adjacent park. After school activities include basketball, soccer, ultimate Frisbee, floor hockey, and track and field.
Students are encouraged to join the Student Council, Graduation Committee, Yearbook Committee, School Band, and the Computer, Drama, and Art Clubs.
Computers are offered as part of the curriculum. The library is equipped with a computer, as well as all classrooms. Students have access to the Internet in both the computer lab and library.
